The “Can You Dig It?” VBS course is designed to help students see as Jesus sees and discover the true and valuable treasures that can exist within our hearts. Each lesson uses one of the Beatitudes as its memory verse and focuses on a different treasure that should be displayed within us. The five lessons are as follows:
Lesson 1
The Devotion of a Passionate Heart
Jesus calls four fishermen (Luke 5:1-11)
Lesson 2
The Tears of a Loving Heart
Jesus forgives a sinful woman (Luke 7:36-50)
Lesson 3
The Greatness of a Humble Heart
Jesus teaches about greatness (Luke 9:46-48)
Lesson 4
The Actions of a Tender Heart
Jesus tells about the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37)
Lesson 5
The Gift of a Generous Heart
The widow who gave all (Luke 20:45-21:4)
You can order the introductory kit to see a sampling of the materials in this VBS course. If you decide not to use the Can You Dig It? course, you may return the kit for credit until August 1, 2007, if the materials are in saleable condition.
As with any material written by men, there may be things with which you do not agree. Teachers can adapt lessons and activities to coincide with what the congregation believes to be true. Please keep this in mind when using this and any other Bible class material.
