Shaping Hearts for God

Shaping Hearts for God is a Bible based curriculum designed for children from PreK through 5th Grade.  It features a three-year cycle of Bible study - two years in the Old Testament and one year in the New Testament.  The approach goes beyond merely retelling Bible stories to seeing and understanding God in the events, and helping students know how to live for Him.  The driving theme in all the lessons is that in love God took believers from among sinners, helped them with the problem of sin, and made them His own through Jesus Christ.

  • The curriculum includes three components - Student Workbooks, Teacher's Lesson Guides, and Teaching Resources Notebook
  • All components are in full-color and have reader-friendly layout
  • All levels study the same subject, encouraging families to read the Bible together
  • Bible Readings and Memory Verses are graduated in difficulty to be age-appropriate
  • Three memory verses are featured in each workbook - one Memory Verse is included in four lessons so students can genuinely learn it
  • A Parent's Page for each lesson in Levels 1-3 workbooks guides parents in helping their children
  • Bible Knowledge Expectations are in each lesson, including Basic Bible Facts and Map Facts
  • Level 4 workbooks begin challenging students with questions that require thinking beyond the facts of the lesson to consider personal applications
  • Lessons are designed to be taught both Sunday and midweek by incorporating the strategies featured in the Teaching Resources
