God's Good Gifts

Thomas H. Holland
43 Sermon Outlines on the Book of James
This book contains 43 sermon outlines on the book of James. This is a second, expanded publishing of this book. In the preface of the book, the author writes: James gives instruction and encouragement which enables God’s people to withstand temptation and to resist the devil. The inspired writer gives information which will guide the Christian in coping with difficult social problems. James outlines the areas of life in which faith will act and guide the life. He also provides the encouragement which will prompt sincere people to live in such a way that God will give them a “a crown of life.” The lessons outlined in this book, God’s Good Gifts, are practical. These sermon plans set forth vital truth which needs to be proclaimed. The author has attempted to design study outlines instead of preaching (delivery) outlines. Therefore, many of these outlines contain more material than the average preacher could discuss in a reasonable amount of time. Faithful preachers may, through diligent study and prayerful meditation, make these lessons their own. If so, they should preach these sermons with conviction born of faith, confidence based on adequate preparation and with zeal inspired by the realization that God’s word is being applied to the needs of men. Selected sermon titles include: • The Perfect Work of Patience • The Promised Crown • When Life Gets Real and Tough! • God and Temptation • Temptation and Triumph • The God We Serve And many more!
